JERICHO

Jericho - a 10,000 year old Palestinian city of approximately 20,000 people exists without any indoor sport or exercise facilities available to the community.

Jericho has nowhere to play

THE WORK SO FAR…

To this date, The Athletes’ Table, in partnership with Seeds of Hope has hosted 4 sports camps. In June of 2023 we also hosted a live exhibition match in Jericho! Serving as a monumental step for the community, sport created a space for Jericho to be together for a night of dancing, games, and solidarity.

However, our work is not done, there is still limited access to sport. The lack of space leads to unsustainable sport programs. Suitable facilities are needed to host safe spaces for the people of the community.

Jericho needs somewhere to play…

A PATH TO SUSTAINABLE SPORT IN JERICHO.

SPORTS CAMPS

Our first step is to provide quarterly sports camps to ensure there are year-round sport and exercise opportunities for Jericho's youth. We enjoy hosting groups that help put these camps on each quarter.

FACILITY

Next, we strive to provide a facility. A facility is a crucial piece of the puzzle. It ensures a safe space is available to the entire community, especially girls and women. They need the space to learn, grow, and experience the power of sport.

SPORTS CLUB

Our last initiative is to provide a holistic sports club. This will provide the sustainability needed to ensure the community has consistent access to quality mentors, programs, and camaraderie.

Being a good neighbor is what will make the world a better place. We are all in this together, and with some teamwork and effort, we can see how the uniting power of sport can transform our world!
